Agree. But some browsers are set to add "www" automatically, and a few 
URL's are not reachable without "www" (depends the web-/nameserver's 
setting, not the browser's).

Once I had to record a french speaker for a tv commercial (for an online 
dvd shop). He had to say double-v-double-v-double-v-directmedia-ch in less 
than 2 seconds. He couldnt, we had to fasten it electronically :-) ...
