I once flew back from Luxor to the UK and the X-Ray machine wasn't
working. One of the attendants was taking baksheesh to put cases from
the front of the machine to the back therefore bypassing the security
check.:-) Not sure if I was really smiling at the time.

Same at Charles de Gaulle (or Orly) airports in Paris, but you won't 
get a friendly "have a nice flight sir"...
One place I would really argue though, is Beirut airport. The machines 
at the entrance of the airport fog the film big time! :-(
