This is the reason of updating firmware and generally affects to minor defects and/or secondary features not working in the appropriate manner. I remember when first Nikon DSLR cameras had to be sent to Nikon for firmware updating. But I suspect that such a delay in the launching of DMR cannot be due to minor firmware retouchs but something more important. When we have it in our hands we'll be able to make a deeper judgment. Meanwhile just waiting. If it comes from a Imacon and Leica collaboration for sure it has to be a good product but the problem is if it can be a little bit late as others are well place in the race and Leica users who are using other digital bodies with Leica R lenses *and* sometime use other lenses realize that the superiority of Leica R lenses is certain but not so big..
