Hi Jim,

Funny you should ask...The first thing I did when I saw the Costco/Noritsu 
scan of that photo was to pull out the negative and hold it up to the light 
looking (desperately) for more detail in the dog.  Unfortunately, it's 
really not there.  :(  The lighting was surprisingly contrasty when I took 
the shot...in the neg the girl's face is overexposed while the dog is 
underexposed...I tried to shoot for the middle, but it just wasn't 
there...and that's with big latitude C41 film, too!

However, now that I've received your encouragement, I will scan it myself 
and see what more I can do with it.  You never know what digital magic can 
be worked!
