i have the 50mm summincron with the collapsible shade, and i have 
decided i  *don't* like this shade at all.  it won't stay extended.  
since one of the things i rely on a shade for is to protect the front 
element from knocking into things, i have decided this thing is all but 
useless.  does anyone make a thread-on filter with vents cut into it, a 
la the traditional leica filters, or anything like that?  moderately 
priced, hopefully.
