My call is K1GD, and am fairly active, although this past year not so much, 
also due to work and other activities.  Cedar Rapids is not a greqat 
location, 
but it works fairly well.  I use Collins (Of course, since I work for them, 
although the have been out of the ham busness for many years), and Icom, and 
it 
all goes into several 'Wet Noodle" antennas, hung from the many trees around 
the house.
