Worked for Edison and invented half the stuff Edison took credit for.
He was a real engineer.

Edison was a "keep trying everything until sometime works" guy. Tenacious.

Tesla Believed in AC.
Edison believed in DC.

Not the makings of an enduring relationship.

Edison invented the electric chair to scare people away from the horrors of
AC. Expected us to have a transformer house on the corner of every block for
his DC.
