I used to hang out in Williamsburg (Mahattan Ave, Lorimer, Grant)
Has it been yuppified/gentrified ?   Every time that happens
you get top-notch restaurants but then cannot find decent
ethnic food, or regular dives.   Full dinner for less than
$15 and bring your own wine kind of places.  There used to be
tons of those around.   They don't speak any language I 
understand, and they think my accent is too strong for
them to understand.  It was great !   :-)
