I can only compare the 10D and 1DMk2.  In my experience, the 1DMk2 has 
noticeably better low light / high ISO performance...but I believe that 
is to be expected given the larger sensor size and somewhat newer 
technology.

I don't believe you can really tell much from images sized for the web, 
but having said that, here are some recent photos of a delivery 
(warning: DOG PHOTOS) taken with the 1DMk2 and Canon 28mm 1.8 at very 
high ISO (1600 and 3200):

I can't immediately find any really low light shots made with the 10D 
but my experience generally is that it does not have the dynamic range 
of the 1DMk2.  Of course, it is/was about 1/3 the price.

Finally, obligatory Leica content: I do a lot of photos of our dogs, and 
I really need (at my age and with my eyesight and reflexes) the 
autofocus feature.  However, if things are moving as slowly as I do, I 
really like the Leica R 80 on a Canon digital body.  Tina Manley was 
kind enough to let me fondle her 80 affixed to a 20D at the Park Square 
seminar and it is just plain wonderful.
