Marty Strauss, the founder of Strauss Photo-Technical Services, generally
regarded as the best of the last generation of camera repairmen and
mechanics, has died in the Washington, DC, area (US) at age 81.

I met Marty a number of times but many of you on this List knew him far
better than I did.  He was a giant of his era and will be missed.
