What a great range of answers the members of the lug gave to the question 
about what gear to take.

I enjoyed reading everyone's reply. Our cameras and lenses evoke strong 
feelings from us. I liked the reply which advised that one should take a 
camera and lens one feels comfortable with. Seems obvious, but needs to be 
said, as does the advice that one should practice with the equipment before 
you leave. 

I liked the advice of not looking like a photographer. I agree, but when in 
a strange place I hate to leave my remaining equipment unattended in a hotel 
or car. 

As for weight, once you've lugged a view camera around, everything else 
looks light.
