[Leica] For anyone who's interested...

The new Olympus Evolt (E-300) landed on my doorstep the day before Xmas;
it's Olympus's competitor for the digital Rebel and D70 (and is the DSLR
with a series of mirrors rather than a prism, which gives it a flat top,
and more compact size.) Anyway, among it's more interesting features is
a really, really good built-in black and white mode, and, in addition to
the usual contrast, saturation, and sharpness options in the menus, a
high-key/normal/low-key option. Here are three black and white images,

"At the movies" and the garage shot were taken in high-key, the shot of
my daughter and the kitten were in normal. The movie shot is noisy - all
three were shot at 800 - but is also hideously underexposed, which will
lead to noise, or grain ;-).
