Hi Jon,

"Ya know" ;-) In their defence, just as much in our Canadian "eh."  :-) 
These words are learned without knowing we are saying it. It's a form of

verbal re-action in speaking and I too at times get a grind on about
hearing 
"Ya know" But not too much. :-)
