Hi all.

I'm still waiting for the rain to stop so I can get outside and try
my 'new' short-mount Hektor using a Viso 3 and an M6. Unfortunately
it is now also very dark.... :-)

This really must be the bargain Leica lens. It is totally unloved
(IMHO) for a few reasons (hence its giveaway price).

- It is a highly 'unfashionable' focal length. But what's wrong with 135?
- It was designed back in the Jurassic - albeit by a guy who also
designed the Elmar, on which Leitz's fortunes were more or less
founded.
- It's relatively slow - but appears surprisingly bright through the Viso.

So isn't there anyone out there who's a fan?

The proof of the pud, of course, lies in the quality of the images
that it produces. I hope to report back on this shortly.

Best

Alex.
