Or you could carry what Dave Harvey carries for a long term National Geo
Assignment:



one (or occasionally two) M Leica m6's/7's - a 35, 28 and sometimes 50mm
lens a small cheap Vivitar flash and that's it apart from a spare body or
two in the hotel room in case of theft. No tripod, no light meter etc. Just
a big bag of film

On the street it's one M6/7, 35 1.8 and the 28mm in the backpack with the
film.
