Bob -

Well, the 10D has a shorter mirror than full size cameras (you can 
actually modify the new EF-S lenses to mount on it, with a hacksaw 
albeit).  So lenses that protrude in the back will actually mount on 
the 10D that won't mount on fullsize cameras.

The 20D has an even smaller mirror.
