The early version ? up to 2166700 (aprox. 1966) ? had 41 mm filter 
thread. AFAIK all the 35 Summiluxes (not the Asph or Aspherical) can 
use A42 clamp -on accessories. The 12504 hood for the later lens is the 
filter holder. It unscrews to accept filters.
