That particular Canon lens (the 300/2.8) is widely accepted
as being probably Canon's best ever lens and one of the all-time
greats from any manufacturer.  Of course, whether it's "better"
than a particular Leica lens depends on what criteria you
use to compare, but I believe there are some absolutes in life.

Only wish I could aford either...  :-)
