Apparently, more options will be available depending on the volume of customer requests. I have a few druthers meself. So you may be able to get a hammertone M7 some day. But surely you jest about the green, purple, or pink? Such understated taste! Why not just poison oneself with gallons of Lagavulin -- that'll alter every hue you encounter, and permanently! As for the calf, durable or not (and I'm a bookbinding aficionado -- gimme a Bumpus bound Seven Pillars and I'll be your best buddy), it's part of the Leica "previously offered" tradition. Nearly 200 of the Leica 1(a) cameras were covered in black calfskin at Wetzlar, way back when.
