Hey Kit,

The biggest 'bulge' of 50 something men in history is just now making its
way down the line -- the 'baby boomers'. This bulge will occupy most
companies scrutiny for many years to come as they try to figure out how to
make them part with their cash. I suspect Leica (along with many other
manufacturers) are aiming their product mix right at this market -- they
are the ones with the cash. Part of their calculation is that this group
will fund the changeover to target a younger generation later.
