Subject: [Leica] D2 tricks continued

As promised, I offer you the different options I talked about yesterday.
You can find 6 different conversions to B&W here:

http://users.telenet.be/philippe.orlent/

The RAW image is as shot, uncropped and no tweeking in the PS RAW module
The 6 conversions were a bit downsized (21 to 27,6 cm, 300 dpi) due to
webspace restrictions.

Conversions are:
* a simple RGB to grayscale
* a custom RGB to grayscale via the actions window
* a custom RGB to grayscale via the actions window + unsharp mask (set at
10, 65, 0)
* a RGB to Lab to greyscale, with a shift of 10 points (to darker) in the
lightest parts
* a default BW Workflow Pro conversion
* a BW Workflow Pro with yellow filter.

All images are saved in tiff format, with LZW compression.

Additional info to be found in the images' exif metadata.

Notice the slight variations in weight of a few K.

IME there is little to none difference between the images.

Since the initial image was shot in low light conditions, it is also a good
example of how the D2's noise pattern looks.
