There is some very interesting work on display at the Getty these days
ranging from very early work up until the 1960-70's. Arbus, HCB, Man
Ray,Eug?ne Atget, Brett Weston, William Garnett, Milton Rogovin and many
more.

Terrific to see some very well known shots in person.

On a technical note one thing that struck me was just how fine grained
the 35mm work was, but then again this was pre-Tri-X and everyone was
shooting 100 asa film.

It was a little odd to see an early Leica displayed in a glass case as
an "artifact", especially when you are the only one in the building with
an M and everyone else is dragging around a digital. I was starting to
wonder if security was going to tackle me on the way out the door,
because they thought I may running off with part of the exhibit.
