Colen3/17/04 >Well, that in itself severely limits the camera's usefulness for many of >the >purposes for which Leicas have traditionally been used. Well I don't know about "severely limits." The little harddrive with the screen is pretty small, not much bigger than the little screen itself, a bit thicker - it looks like it would easily fit in a vest pocket or small pouch on the belt. I wouldn't want to carry this rig into battle if that's one of the "many of the purposes" you're refering to. I also wouldn't bother with it for newspaper work - what a waste of pixels that would be. Not a great travel rig either - for a tourist - UNLESS - you want to blow the competition out of the water with TRAVEL STOCK files - guaranteed success - if you can afford the price of admission. >But it sure ain't a Leica M - or R. ;-) Never suggested it was anything other than what it is. And this is the main point. Each one of these device/systems offers just a little something different. Each has a slightly different fit. And it's an incredibly exciting time to be alive in the realm of photography - where folks are doing fine, gorgeous work with 100 year old view cameras and platinum prints as well as $50 obsolete, digital point-n-shoots and an epson. It's all about the content (what does it talk about) and the print (what does it look like). The rest is just talk - fun - sometimes interesting - sometimes informative - sometimes meaningless - talk.
