Hi BD,

I took it as a given that everyone would know that I was sufficiently aware
to know that :-) Thing is, I love my Leicas not just for their strengths but
also for their idiosyncrasies. It amuses me to have to change 'up a gear'
and add a pair of spectacles just to get a few inches further away than a
lot of much cheaper lenses. One of the joys of being an amateur is that
Leica 'M' deficiencies don't cost me any money in lost shots. Even if they
did, I was aware of those deficiencies before I purchased them so it would
be pointless for me to bemoan those deficiences when if and when they got in
the way.

I got this one with a Panasonic digital whilst hardly breaking stride:

Know what? The bespectacled Summicron shot gave me more pleasure :-)
