Subject: [Leica] buying the epsonia R-D1 in Japan....

The last I heard is that the R-D1 will be available in "Japan Only, Summer" 
for $2000 to $3500 (!). One dealer does mention that it will be available 
in US but with no timeframe on when.

Anycase, I will be in Japan during the 2nd half of July. If it is available 
in Japan during that time AND if it is not available in US "for a while," 
how many people would be interested in buying it from me if I were to 
"import" a few of them? (I guess Custom fee may kill any profits..)
