Hi Daniel,
Interesting photo, but it cries out for a lower angle and a stronger
composition using his hands.  Even bending your knees slightly rather than
looking down on his head would be an improvement.

Actually a tight shot of his hands working would've been more story telling
given your words. Or hands and tools strongly in foreground and his face in
background may have been better. Even if his face were slightly out of focus
it wouldn't matter, or at least it wouldn't have been a big deal.

As your description caption reads, it's about what he's making to raise
funds and that makes the hands with bits and pieces the important part of
the photograph anyway.
