The issue is the availability of years of used $800-1300 older designed lenses and the new $2500 lens. A difference of $1200 ....... Yes, I think there is a market.... but like most Leica lenses, in a few months, there will be very lightly used ones selling for a lot less than the new ones, as early adopters get tired if this particular new piece of equipment... I think it was a previous subscriber that made a comment on when to buy a new Leica lens.....at 1/2 price. Frank Filippone red735i@earthlink.net
