I've been using the Fred Miranda plugin for the last couple of weeks and
it's excellent.

The shot here http://gallery.leica-users.org/Misc/Mt_St_Michel_02
started as a straightforward colour shot from the Canon 300D. I used
the red filter and then used the 'tweak' slider to darken the
buildings. The lens was a 50mm Summicron from my SL.
