Subject: [Leica] Jeff bites the bag on the Hexar RF/Leica M controversy

I couldn't leave well enough alone. Having heard that Hexar RF lenses
work perfectly on Leica M bodies, but that Hexar RF bodies seem to be
out one their focus adjustment, I decided to just be "sure" and sent my
Hexar RF body out to be tested and adjusted. Just got it back from the
adjustment, and shot three rolls of film using a 50/2 Summicron. All
100+ images are slightly out of focus. Neat, huh? This leaves me
wondering what the hell is going on with the Hexar RF. Their lenses work
perfectly on Leica M bodies, but a Hexar RF adjusted to work perfectly
with Hexanon lenses cannot focus with a Leica lens?

So now I have a Hexar RF body that may not work with any lens.
