Here's what Columbia University says: Inflation Calculator $525.00 in 1965 dollars becomes $3,000.00 in 2002 dollars. This calculator was created using data provided by Professor Robert Sahr (Robert.Sahr@orst.edu) of the Oregon State University Political Science Department.
