I've got a D100 and with a little tweaking and Genuine Fractals I get some amazing results. Looks like they are comparing image quality to the D100 and >10D. Interesting. >Sam Hi Why shouldn't they? The sensor of this new camera looks exactly the same as the D100 - 1.5x, ISO 200-1600. For all you know, they might be bought from the same chip supplier (Sony). The epson / cosina digital should give images on par with today's 6 megapixel DSLRs like the Canon 10D, 300D, Nikon D100 or the new D70. That would be quite enough for now. At the least, it's certainly going to be better than the tiny one used in the Digilux 2! This is quite a landmark achievment considering the fact Leica says it can't be done :) Now we know the Japanese can! Leica's own offering is 2 years away. And that's being very optimistic :) If u want a true digital rangefinder, this is as close as you can get - summer 2004! heck, this Epson / Cosina coup even stole the thunder from the Leica R9 Digital back, the announcement of which we've seen since last year. Till today, there's no working prototype, no sample images, just a whole load of talk and PDF marketing material. Exciting times indeed!
