Hi Nathan,

Thanks for your comments.  I agree that the shot is too cluttered.  My goal 
was to be able to compare the gestures of the auctioneer standing on the 
table with those of her helpers (including the man with the chair).  I'm 
not sure that worked, but oh well!  I think if I wanted to concentrate on 
just the man with the chair, then your suggestion would be an excellent 
one.  IIRC, there may have been too much light to open the 35 up very much, 
anyway.  It was a sunny day outside, and there I was without filters or 
slow film.

I took a look at some of your website, and you have indeed done an 
excellent job of capturing the feel of the Belgian markets.  I think my 
favorites were the series where you used the mirrors in your shots.

I also enjoyed your Swiss winter photos...I lived in Zurich for two years 
(1993-1995) and loved it.  "Surveying the Scene" from Flumserberg 
(http://www.leica-gallery.net/wajsman/image-40314.html) brought back 
wonderful memories of skiing those very slopes.  It's quite a place!
