Who is interested in a niche market player in an area that is changing tremendously away from the market niche? Hasselblad is now owned by a foreign conglomerate / distributor. They were in my opinion, much more mainstream than Leica. A takeover would be interesting, but I foresee that like Hermes, the acquirer will be interested in the name, not throwing $$$ at the company to make it viable. Back to my ideas..... Outsourcing digital bodies and offering Leica glass for Nikon and Canon and Minolta and, and, and bodies.
