I got mine from Ebay..... the guy lives about 500 miles from here, but by chance, I was going to visit a daughter only 40 miles from the seller. Enlarger fit in the back of the Volvo just fine! There are a bunch of 4500 on Ebay now. Prices are still around $500. You must research your needs..... They come with 1 of 3 interchangeable heads.... Color Dichro, VCCE, or condenser. Heads run around $400 ( new). So get the one you want with the head you want. Power from the 4500 is 200W, the 4550 is 250W. Not a big difference...... the 4550 is also taller.... which is more than I can use in my 7' tall darkroom, so the 4500 is my choice ( on a 24inch tall "table".) I use a really low stool. Neg carriers are unique to the enlarger..... you can NOT use a Omega D5 carrier in them... DAMHIKT...... They cost around $50 new each. A bit pricey, and do not come up as often on EBay as I would have liked.....I had to buy mine new. 4x5 ( Glass or glassless), 6x9, 6x6, 6x7, 645, 35mm. Probably a few more, but I forget......
