In response to Feli's post...

First - Thank God for a voice of sanity and reason..

"I agree. I have made a try of this mixed gear and I finally use Canon
lenses
in my EOS 1Ds and Leica lenses in my R8. Why loose AF and all features
if
the quality is not so far? Well I have few Leica R lenses, two zooms,
and
then I do not need using them in the EOS as their quality is not far
behind." .. If it's far behind at all...I would guess our most fervent
red dot pox infected members could not tell the difference given two
prints, or on screen images to examine, one shot with the Canon glass,
and one with the R glass, on the 10D or the EOS1D or 1Ds for that
matter.. ;-)

And second... "I know, Austin Franklin, explained clearly, it is not
possible to
launch an M digital but a digital rangefinder for M lenses?"

I think people really have missed the point on this one. No..It is -
apparently - not optically possible to simply put a sensor where the
film plane is on the M and use the M lenses. But that doesn't mean that
a unit couldn't be attached to the bottom and back of an M that placed
the sensor at the proper distance, or that one couldn't design a new
body that used M lenses and was a rangefinder camera...This will
probably never happen, but someone is missing a real bet if they don't
do it, given the number of Leica glass fanatics out there, as well as
the number of lenses waiting to be used.. ;-)
