It was run by the second...after Mart Forscher...greatest camera repairman in America. Jerry could fix, modify or build anything photographic or optical. I am glad to hear that Jerry is still available for special jobs and to learn that Sanford is still doing good work. Thanks for the up-date, Jim. Hi Buzz: I haven't used them for a couple of years because if needed, I send my Rollei stuff to Marflex, and Leica stuff to New Jersey (R8) and to Sherry, (SL). I use mostly use Sanford for Pentax and Nikon. Whomever did the CLA at Sanford did I fine job on my Olympus P&S... which had gotten pretty grungy on several camping trips. At any rate I don't know when he retired, but I was told by someone recently that when they brought in something that was tough to repair, that the shop sent it down to Jerry in Florida because he still does some of the more arcane cameras. So I guess that you're right, he isn't running things but helps out on some repairs. Jim - http://www.hemenway.com - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
