[Leica] Kobalux 21mm Expertise Needed

After a long search, I've located a new Kobalux 21mm lens and would like
to purchase it.  However, the 21mm Kobalux was made for about eight
years with three different optical formulations.  The last version had
several improvements, including a close focus of .75 meter vs. 1 meter
for the first two.  Does anyone know how to distinguish the last version
from the others---serial numbers, markings, whatever?
