I think Leica knows directly who they are competing against and it will
cost a third more than the Canon G5. Otherwise it might cost a half more.
But in the next couple of months I think Canon will come out with A G6
with 6 megapixel which will drop the price from 6 or 7 hundred to 5 or 6
or even 450! If Leica can bite the bullet and compete with that i don't
know.  I think it will sell for right around a grand. That's just my
hunch. $999.99 in your Xmas holiday stocking. The Dig 1 cost 800.


But i see right now a camera store in Munich will let you put one on
order for
 1,800.00 EUR which right now is  2,174.98 USD

So I'm half right.
But I think they give you a discount if the camera actually exists in
the store.
And it's been out for more the minus one Month.
