Yes, but with the Cross Pen you get a lifetime warranty for repair or
replacement. I have sent in two of mine for repair and Cross sent me a new
pen free, even after 25 years. Can't beat that. Both of mine were the
Gold Filled, not the Gold Plated so they were a bit more than 10 microns
thick. I actually use the Silver (Not Chrome) set more than the Gold
though.

Ah, yet another rip-off, eh? "titanium" my ass...sort of the cross pen
of titanium lenses....10 microns of gold over aluminum foil...;-)

Nope, the lenses were made of glass. The mounts were made of brass and/
or aluminium, with a titanium coating for cosmetic purposes.
