I have sent in two of mine for repair and Cross sent me a new pen free, even after 25 years. Can't beat that. Both of mine were the Gold Filled, not the Gold Plated so they were a bit more than 10 microns thick. I actually use the Silver (Not Chrome) set more than the Gold though. Gene "B. D.
