Eric,

While I miss the 35mm Summicron spherical,
I was fine letting go of the 35mm Summicron Asph,
though sooner or later I will get one in LTM version.
If anybody is thinking of selling his/hers, let me know.

I didn't do so well when I let go of the 24mm Apsh,
(but then you knew that - how many Luggers sold and
then bought the same lens back from the buyer ? LOL).
I might have to let go of that lens again, as I don't
use it often enough.

Another lens that I sold that took me a while to get over
is the 90mm Tele-Elmarit thin. My sample was clean as
a whistle, in looks and in performance. I feel a lot better
now that I have the Cosina Voigtlander 90mm Apo Lanthar.
I like it much better than the Tele-Elmarit, and have it
in LTM to boot. At one point the 90mm was my favorite
focal lens in Leica M, and I had used 4 different ones,
including the Apsh Apo Summicron. I have been seeing a bit
wider lately, and seem to hover between 35mm and 50mm.

The last lens I will let go will be the 35mm Summilux Asph.
Next to last would be the lowly 50mm Summicron. I had mine
CLA by Gerry Smith at Kinderman in Toronto recently. I like
the 50mm Summicron so much I have the LTM version also,
and learned to accept the 1m minimum focus distance, which
was hard to do.

Cheers,

- - Phong
