Yes, I know it's not quite up to the standard of a Leica, and in the ideal
case, I will not show 95% of the pictures there, but cosplayers (that's
costumers for you) love to see pictures of themselves, and a number of you
have emailed me saying you'd enjoy them, so... (massive run on sentence,
better stop)

http://www.dragonsgate.net/photopost/index.php, look under 2003 Ani Magic.
I actually took a set of studio flash and set it outdoor. Just to be safe,
I set the lights more or less 45 degrees from the side to make sure that I
would get sufficient lighting, albeit boring. It worked reasonably well,
but I obviously have to watch for the burnt out w/ white costumes more.
Also, I need to be more careful w/ distortion w/ the 35mm lens. Speaking of
which, the camera/lens got dropped off accidentally. The lens shade
shattered and there's dent on the rim. It looks to be usable, but may be I
will send it in for repair. I love that lens.

I also took some pics in Joshu Tree national park. See the "Members
Galleries" on that page. I took 12 rolls of slides in the convention.
That's definitely a record. I will definitely look into a DSLR before the
next major convention...
