A meter movement alone is worth more than most used meters. If you are looking at a used meter make sure the meter needle does not flop around freely. The most common "serious" fault on the MR meters is a corroded circuit board which is repaired by soldering in a jumper wire. Most meters revive nicely with a good CLA.
