I hope they told him that Japanese-German friendship and cooperation went back at least 30+ years...:-) - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us] On Behalf Of Seth Rosner Sent: Wednesday, October 01, 2003 3:50 PM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: Re: [Leica] Right angle finder Hi Slobodan: The Leitz finder in the catalog 30+ years ago - #14,186 - was made in Japan, I believe by Minolta. I have, from a good friend at Leitz NY at the time, a very funny letter from a Leica customer complaining bitterly about discovering his newly-purchased right-angle finder is made in Japan and that Leitz is "selling out." My strong guess is that the Minolta finder will indeed fit Leicaflex and R models.
