OS X and the G5s are changing Apple's reputation in the business world. And by the way, Apple is also getting major notice right now in the scientific world. Virginia Tech just bought 1100 of them (the high end dual 2GHz G5) and are claiming when they're all together in a cluster it will be in the top 10 supercomputers in the world. A first for Macs to be put together as a supercomputer cluster. What's really interesting is that for the horsepower they're going to get out of it, this system was cheaper than Dell could bid for it, or IBM, or Sun, or HP. And compared to a mainframe that can do the same amount of work, it will cost about 1/20th of the mainframe's price. Macs are also the 800-pound gorilla in music.
