Subject: [Leica] you say Slivovica, I say Slivovitz, let's call the whole thing off

It can be spelled either way. Often Croatian, but sometimes Czech. A kissing cousin
of sloe gin (blue plums are the shared ingredient). Fiery, a bit raw sometimes, often
yellow-tinged from barrels. Many Jewish boys first real drink (Manishewitz
notwithstanding).

The Alsatian quetsch , also made from plums, is a colourless eau-de-vie.

May you be inscribed and sealed in the big book!
