I suspect that the camera stores that inventory and sell premium cameras
must depend on the sale of minor accessories, film and film processing in
order to turn a profit.

When we shop where these are sold cheaper by a big box store that sells to
customers that have clothing and home supplies in their cart, we are setting
the stage for our camera shops to fall on hard times.

Digital will not save them. The computer and electronic big box stores are
where these sales are taking place. They have the price advantage or have a
public perception that they do.

Perhaps, we should support our local camera store even when the price is
slightly higher. They do give us time, service, knowledge and experience
for our dollars.
