I saw the exhibition of the book a while ago. That darkness permeates his
later work, the still lives the landscapes and the Indian shots. I think the
man still has a lot of demons locked away inside.

To totally switch gears.
After spending a stretch of time last night with the Don McCullin book, I
was struck by the tonal similarity of his work to that of Eugene Smith
- - dark. Very dark. Dark subjects, dark prints.
