I am not a fan of Susan Sontag, find her writing turgid and pedantic,
and believe that it is quite obvious from that writing that she is not a
photographer in any vaguely serious sense of the term. HOWEVER...She is
clearly extremely bright, and photographer or not, does bury more than a
few ponies deep in the horseshit - making picking up the shovel well
worth the effort.;-)

But you better be a photographer if you're going to tell other 
photographers that their approach to their profession is violent, and 
unacceptable.
