There are around 700 murders committed annually in the UK. A quick search of Google showed that in 2001 there were around 16000 murders in the US (FBI figures). The population of the US is approximately 4.5 larger than that of the UK. Are you seriously suggesting that the UK's murder rate is comparable to that of the US? That article is, frankly, one of the most unintelligent arguments I have read in a long time. Was it meant to be serious or was it some kind of satire?
