The girl's name is Kim Phuc, and you're right, she's living in Canada, here
in Toronto, to be exact.

As someone mentioned in an earlier post, the photographer, Nick Ut, saved
her life, insofar as after taking the photo(s), he helped her to get
medical help.  Ut, like many other young Vietnamese hired by Western news
services, ended up in the US by war's end, and I believe he's still in Los
Angeles.

AFAIK, Phuc and Ut have been in regular contact, and he's visited her in
Toronto on several occasions while he's been on assignment.
